Year Review

This year I really enjoyed it when Constable Ross came to school. I thought it was really funny when Boston got mixed up. I have enjoyed PE this year. Lastly I have liked the library this year.
By Sienna K

I enjoyed painting because it is fun. I liked Jump Jam because I like dancing. I liked mixing colours because I like painting. I like fitness because I like Line Tag.
By Jumana

This year I did PMP. I liked the balance board the best at PMP. I also liked doing the milk experiment. But I liked doing the production the best because I was a teacher and a dancer.
By Natasha

We went to see Harold. He was in a truck. He taught us to be Healthy.
By Jake.
I enjoyed when Constable Ross came here to teach us about being safe. I enjoyed going to Starfish with Shannon. It was fun. I enjoyed doing athletics and I came second.
By Abbie
This year we have been doing painting. I like doing painting because it tickles my finger. I also liked the production because my friend Natasha was one of the teachers. I liked swimming the most because the water was cool.
By Kora

I liked doing experiments this year. I liked doing the ice cream experiment and the milk experiment. I didn’t like the egg experiment because it didn’t really work properly. I liked doing PMP as well because we did the eye tracking and I liked swinging the ball.

Volume and Capacity. We are learning how to compare the volume of two containers by packing or pouring.

We had fun in the sandpit and using the water trough today exploring how much different containers could hold.
I used a tablespoon to measure how many tablespoons of water fit in this cup.

10 cups of sand fit in the bucket.

We used a scoop to fill this container.

Today we explored what colours we can make using only red, blue and yellow.

We discovered if we mixed red and blue together it turned to either purple, indigo or violet.

When we mixed blue and yellow it turned green.

Yellow and red made orange.

If we were really careful with dabbing our fingers in the paint we could keep the primary colours clean.

Silly Hat Store - Video

Yesterday we made our own silly hats. We made a video to share all our hats. Which one do you think is the silliest?

SunSmart Hats

Today we explored sun-hats. We looked at a range of different hats. Then we each picked a way to share what we know about sun smart hats. Next week we are going to design our own Sun smart hats.

Ti Kouka Knows how to be Sun Smart

For writing this morning we got to be self-directed learners and choose how we would share our knowledge on how to be sun smart. We could work on our own or with a buddy. We all shared our work in different ways.

Come and have a look at our display in the Quiet Room.

Don't forget to be Sun Smart over the long weekend!!!!

How to be sunsmart

For our new inquiry we are thinking how we can be sunsmart.
Here is a fun website to help you with some ideas.

Under Cover Cody

Look what happened to our UV beads

We did some work inside and nothing happened to our bead. When we went outside our bead changed colour!
We think it changed colour because of the sun.

The blue blocks

We made a tower out of the blue blocks that was one block away from touching the ceiling. We were being Interactors and we helped each other.

Swimming with T15

First I get out of bed, then I get my togs on.  Then I eat my breakfast.  Next I get in the bus then I get in the pool.  I do what I have to do when I float with the board on my tummy.  It is fun.  Swimming is cool, I love it.  I love my swimming teacher Boo.  She is a really good swimmer. We get changed and we get on the bus.  By Lottie

First I got up and got into my togs.  Then I got to school.  We did the roll.  We line up and went on the bus.  The bus took us to starfish.  We took our shoes off and socks off.  We lined up again we walk in the door.  We waited for the swimming teacher then we did overarm.  I enjoy swimming because I like overarm.
