Facts about our school for our QuadBlogging Buddies

We had an earthquake in Christchurch and some of our old school got lots of cracks so we got a new school.  The builders pulled the school down. Our school is called Halswell School.

We have 550 children in Halswell School. We have six T groups and we have six teachers in our learning centre.

We have a new school and the builders are still working on the new school.

We only have one playground. We have two sandpits. We have lots of toys to play with.

Our toilets are for boys and girls too. The toilets are new and clean.  When we go in the toilets the lights automatically turn on. When the lights go out it will go dark so you just wave. I like the new school.

We have stones in the garden to keep moisture in the garden to help plants grow. We have one rule  -do  not put stones on the floor. The garden is called a rain garden because the rain on the  roof goes  down a pipe to the garden. There are 13 rain gardens,

We don’t have that much play equipment. I cried.  The old playground is going to get moved to our new school. We have a new garden. We are growing vegetables.  We have a new hill.

Halswell School has a new playground it is so fun. The playground is shaped like a diamond. We have basketball hoops. We have lots of space. We can play cricket and basketball.

We have got a new playground. We have got ropes on the new playground and monkey bars. There is a rubber floor with wooden poles to hold up the playground.
