Quaky Cat Helps Out
We were so lucky today, we had the first official book launch of the new book Quaky Cat Helps Out by Diana Noonan and Gavin Bishop. Diana Noonan read us the story and Gavin Bishop told us how he did the illustrations.
We decided to have a try at doing a collage like Gavin Bishop. Do you like our quaky cats? It was tricky cutting them out.

Eggciting Eggxperiments
By Tasmyn
I saw bubbles sticking to the egg. I think the egg shell has something special that does not like vinegar. I wonder if the yolk will dissolve.
By Nathan
I saw lots of bubbles on the vinegar one. The one in the water was still at the bottom of the jar.
Libby
The egg in vinegar felt like chocolate moose and it looked white and yucky in the vinegar. There were bubbles on the egg. The bubbles were making the egg float. The egg in water did nothing
Valentina G
The egg in vinegar was squishy when we touched it and the shell was soft. The one in water did nothing.

We are scientists
We are thinking and talking like scientists during our inquiry.
On Wednesday our experiment was Dancing currants.
It's going up and down the currants are dancing and it was on Tuesday. We put vinegar and baking soda in the tall jar. It was really really cool. I liked it.

We are thinking and talking like scientists during our inquiry.
On Wednesday our experiment was Dancing currants.
First we had to pour the baking soda in. Second we had to pour the vinegar in. Third we had to sprinkle the currants in. They went up and down. They were funny because they bounced.
